Visiting the 2nd HOH in Xuzhou

The goal of the Home of Hope is to help the helpless, to give hope where no hope has been given. What we are learning is how to obtain that goal. So we observe Nathan and Shannon Bell to see how they administrate the first Home of Hope in Gongyi and we try to go and visit the second Home of Hope in Xuzhou every other month to observe Bob and Cindy Sayre.
At both locations we have seen how blessed the children are to be in both families. Before we moved here in February of 2007 we told our three sons the reason why we were moving over here was because there are so many children who do not have parents or a home to live in and that our Heavenly Father wants our family to help them as much as we can. Last week my brother was on the phone asking Jaxin, our six year old son, when were we coming back to the States.

Jaxin’s response brought tears of joy to our eyes. He told my brother that we are here because  there are still children without mommy and daddies, and that we will be staying here to help Mr. Nathan until there are not any more orphans.
This past weekend, Ben got a chance to go and visit the 2nd Home of Hope Orphanage. Our whole family would have gone but our three children were sick with the Hand Foot and Mouth Virus that is going around China. While Ben was there, he got to spend a lot of time with the children there, playing basketball and just hanging out. The pictures below are from his trip there, Enjoy!
