Mid Autumn Festival and National Day

IMG_1399In Pingyu, the government decided instead of giving three days off of school for the Mid Autumn festival and a week later giving the kids another three days off for the National Day, to give the kids ten days off…we know it does not add up but anytime the kids get extra days off school we don’t complain:) One of the activities we did with the kids was take them to the park as you can see above.

IMG_1363IMG_1391 We rented these cars for them to drive all over the park. They really had a great time. In the picture above left from left to right you see Wendy, Debbie and Anna driving around. On the right from left to right Thomas, Chris and Hollie go round and round…Hollie and Chris are brother and sister and you can see jiejie (older sister) giving her didi(little brother) a helping hand.

IMG_1386IMG_1385Picture on the left from left to right you can see Lester, Danny and Joey not knowing which way they are going. Picture on the right from left to right Emma, Ellie and Dana drive around.

IMG_1380IMG_1365 Picture on the left from left to right Gabe, Eddy and Noah try to stay on track. Picture on the right from left to right Abby, Zoey and Jake enjoy their drive.

IMG_1402We are so blessed to live in a small town where most of the places we go are in walking distance. The kids walk 8 minutes to go to school. Fruits and vegetables are within a ten minute walk. The hospital is less than a 5 minute drive. All of our staff live within a 15 minute motorbike ride away. And the park (as you can see our kids walking to above) is ten minutes away with lots of small stores for them to stop at to spend some of their allowance money:) We also have a nice river that cuts through the middle of our town which gives our kids a nice pretty walking area.

Trip Back Home

Michelle and I would like to thank everyone for giving us a nice time while we were back in the US. We were able to speak at several churches and even a couple different schools let us talk about life in China. We do still have a few needs that need to be met and if you are interested in learning about those please click HERE.

Bless you and thank you for taking the time to read about our family here in Pingyu.
