New Blessings

Below is a picture of FengYinHang(left) and FengLiuHang(right). The government contacted us asking if we could help their grandmother out. They told us that their situation was a bit different than our other children because both their parents are alive and living with them.

Both parents show signs of being mentally challenged. Their grandmother (pictured below) told us that her son (the boys father) was punched in the head when he was 13 which caused him to have the mental state he has. He has to be watched all the time. The grandmother did not want him to be alone so found him a wife who she found on the street who also is mentally challenged.

At first when we arrived we could tell that this woman was very tired and worn out. This is by far the dirtiest house we have ever been inside. Everything seemed to be covered in grime.

As we spoke to the boys, we started to see that the oldest boy showed a lot of signs of being autistic. The younger brother showed signs of never being told NO! We took them both to the hospital and both passed with flying colors. Unfortunately, in Pingyu they have no tests to check if the boys have any mental problems.
FengYinHang (the younger boy) will be joining our family on August 19th. FengLiuHang (the older brother) will start at first coming once a week just like we did for our daughter Dana. We are not set up for special needs children and if we find that FengLiuHang is beyond our help, we will contact the newly opened orphanage in Zhumadian that does specialize in helping children with special needs.

In Memory Of Ellen Marie Moosman

photo Michelle’s mom, Ellen Marie Moosman passed away on August 16th, 2014. She made an impact on so many and was truly a special woman. We are saddened by the loss, but encouraged with our faith that she is now in the presence of the Lord and not suffering anymore!

Middle School Kids

photo-1

This year we have 5 of our Chinese children going to Middle School. Above going from left to right is, Eddy, Jaxin (our eldest son), Eli (our middle son), Gabe, Tyler (our youngest son), Wendy, Abby and Debbie. The older our children get, the more pressure they have from school, the more time they will spend at school, and the more expensive cost will be for them to attend school. For example, to get into the best school in our city, our kids had to test against 10,000 other kids in our town; the school only accepted 1,500 students. Their first class starts at 6:00am and their last class ends at 8:30pm. Now that they are at school for so long, they also have to eat at school which costs us $20 a month more per child. Please lift them up for them to stay strong under the pressure, and for them to be filled with wisdom, knowledge and discernment in their daily choices.

How you can help

We typically try to have all or most of our children sponsored before bringing in any new children. We currently have several children who need sponsorships. If you are interested in sponsoring a child please click HERE.
Another way you can help, is by praying for us to trust in Fathers provision. We are going to help these boys by faith.
We thank you for your love and for helping to spread love, peace and hope to our children!
