A New Year to Love and Celebrate!
爱的分享与庆祝新的一年 IMG_3073 Michelle and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary and 18 years being together! We also celebrated 9 years serving in China, 6 of which we have been here at the Pingyu Home of Hope!
笑笑和我庆祝了我们的16周年结婚纪念日及我们在一起的18年的时光！ 我们也同样庆祝了一起在中国服侍的九年时间，其中有六年在平舆希望之家！

Michelle and I serve the left behind children, which means most of our children have grandparents, uncles and aunts but they for one reason or other don’t/can’t care for their child. For the children who have safe homes to go back to, we let them go back to visit those family members for 2 weeks during the summer and for the Chinese New Year. We have 11 children who do not have safe homes to return to, so they stay with us.
笑笑和我服侍那些被抛弃的孩子们，其中有许多孩子他们有爷爷奶奶或有叔叔、姑姑，但是因为某些原因他们无法抚养小孩子。 对于那些家里比较安全的孩子来说，我们允许他们在新年和暑假期间回家两个星期。我们有十一孩子他们没有安全的地方可以居住，无法回自己的老家，所以只能和我们在一起过年。
During the Chinese New Year we eat a big dinner as you can see above.
新年期间我们一起吃了一顿大餐，可以看上面的照片。

IMG_3362 Oh， if I did not mention before, we eat a lot of different special things that we can’t do when we have all 35 kids at home! Michelle and Shirley (our teacher) barbecued for the kids.
哦！我们还吃了许多很特别的东西，如果35孩子都在的情况下是很难有的待遇！笑笑和青亚老师为孩子们做了烧烤。

A few years ago Michelle and the boys made Valentine boxes for us to put special treats in for them. This year we had all the kids make one and decorate them.
几年前，笑笑和孩子们一起做了情人节的盒子，让我们往里面给他们放些小礼物。今年所有在的孩子们都做了情人节的盒子而且装扮它们。

Our older children’s school schedule is so demanding of their time, that we barely get 10 minutes a day to spend with them. When they get time off， we like to do big fun things with them. I took the older boys out to the mountain， while Michelle had the older girls in our house watching movies late into the night.
我们的大孩子们的学校课程安排的特别紧，一天中我们只有仅仅十分钟和他们在一起时间。等到他们星期时我们喜欢跟他们一起做些好玩的事，使他们得到放松。我带大男孩们去爬了山，笑笑带着大女孩们在我们家看电影到很晚。
