First Day of Snow!
We had a very nice surprise for the first day of winter…SNOW!!! Unfortunately, it rained a lot first, which made it too wet and muddy to play in. Sarah, pictured above, loves the winter and especially snow. All the kids were so excited and kept looking out the window commenting on how white and how beautiful it was. We have lived here in Pingyu for three years now. Our first year it snowed 2 or 3 times. Last year we think it snowed maybe once. So to get snow on the first day of winter gave everyone high hopes for a white Christmas.
The next morning our three boys, Jaxin Eli and Tyler (left to right) woke up at 5am, made us coffee, and breakfast to try and butter us up to let them go out and play. We knew all the kids would be wanting to go out to play this morning, so we bundled up and surprised attacked the rest of the children. You can see below the fun time we had with them. You also might notice how early we were out playing in the snow…before the sun even rose!
We accumulated a little snow, so getting enough snow for a snowball fight was a little tricky…we had to improvise a bit. Zoey was teasing Ben that he did not get any snow on her, so he picked her up and made sure she got covered too:)
December, January, and February are our busiest birthday celebrations because we have 4-5 children who celebrate their birthday in each month. If you would like to see more pictures of the party click HERE! Above (left to right) Graham turned 10 years old, Gabe turned 11 yreas old, Crystal turned 7 years old and Wendy turned 11 years old.
As we have done in the past, the children decorate a tree- one for the kindergarten boys, one for the girls and one for the boys- and you judge whose tree looks the best and send us an email at ben@pingyuhomeofhope.org to cast your vote!
We thank you all for all of your support and helping us to give these bundles of joy a very Merry Christmas.
So from our family to yours,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
