Christmas

We had a fantastic Christmas this year. We had 85 people in all at our Christmas party, which included our big Home of Hope family and we were blessed to have 3 families come and celebrate with us this year. We had Chinese, American, Australian Russian and British people all under one roof celebrating Christmas. We brought everyone to a restaurant a few blocks away for our Christmas dinner. They had great food and everyone ate until they were stuffed. Our older boys ate until they were about to burst. Once we returned back home the kids, our staff and some of our visitors put on a talent show and of course opened presents!
Below are several pictures showing some of the celebrations:

The Pearson family has sponsored 3 of our children since 2010. We try to have all our kids and their sponsors to have a close relationship. This was the first time the Pearson’s and our kids met face to face. What was so amazing was as soon as they saw our 3 kids, they all ran to each other and hugged each other.

The Ransom family have been our friends for a few years. They live 4 hours south of us and have hopes to one day open an orphanage.

Can’t help everyone

After meeting FendCuiTian and FengAiTian we agreed to help them once the semester was over. They came last year and wanted our help, but right before we agreed, their aunt said she would take care of them…which is our hope that their own family would step up and care and love for these kids. Unfortunately, after 2 months she gave them back to the grandparents. After we agreed to help this time, the aunt came back and said she does not want them to live with us because she wants them as workers. That the girls will live at the school until middle school, then she will have them go work in the fields.
We tried pleading with the grandparents to have the girls come to our home to give them a better future but he said no. Please be lifting up these girls and their future.
