Our Easter was really an enjoyable time, even with the rain. We had to change things up a bit because almost the entire weekend it rained. The great thing was that all the kids had off for the Chinese Grave Sweeping holiday that usually falls on the same time period as Easter. Thursday night the kids came in and listened to a story that we read explaining Easter. Friday we colored eggs and we watched a movie that also explained why we celebrate Easter. Then Saturday morning before the Easter basket hunt, we brought the kids in one last time to explain even in more detail why we celebrate Easter. On Sunday morning we went to a home for the elderly to spread love to the people who live there. The kids passed out some of their drawings and sang a few songs.
