PingYu Home of Hope

Summer time here is one of our busiest times of the year especially with 36 children (Jaxin, Eli and Tyler included). The kids all get off school and have to go back different times which makes planning anything very difficult. We are still trying to figure out when to do our annual Summer Camp.
夏天是我们一年中最忙的季节特别有36孩子的家庭（包括杰克、以利亚和雅各）。孩子们每个学校的放假时间不同，很难制定暑假时间要实行的计划。我们现在还在准备确定夏令营的时间。

With so many children at the high school getting off school at once, it was faster and easier to make a few trips back and forth on our moped than try driving our van and getting stuck in a 3 hour traffic jam. This was one of two trips I made to get Gabe’s stuff.
有好几个孩子都在高中又同一时间放假，最快速和便捷的方式接送他们就是开着电驴，这样可以避免近三个小时的堵车的时间。这正是我其中一次接王呈龙的方式。

Pizza Party 披萨聚餐
To start our summer off, Michelle makes several pizzas and throws the kids a pizza party. She has perfected making good tasting pizza without cheese. The cheese is too expensive and the kids don’t like it anyway!
笑笑做了一些披萨为这个聚餐。她可以做出没有芝士且还非常美味的披萨。芝士在这里卖的非常贵，而且孩子们也不喜欢吃。

6th Grade Trip 六年级毕业旅行
Crystal, Tammy, Becca, Thomas, Danny, Noah and Frank

We took the 6th graders out on their end-of-the-year trip. We tell each year that if they do a bake sale and help earn money, however much they earn will determine how much fun we can have. This year we had the most kids in one grade (7) and needed to raise a lot of money. They helped make homemade strawberry jelly with Michelle and made close to $1500! We took them to Xuzhou to the 2nd location of the Home of Hope because there is a lot to do there and we can stay for free:)
我们带着6年级毕业的孩子们去旅行。而且会告诉他们旅行的好玩的程度，取决于我们经费的预算多少。今年有七个孩子毕业，孩子们和笑笑一起制作了手工草莓酱来卖，共挣了近1500美元！我们带孩子去了江苏徐州我们的另一个希望之家的所在地，因为那里有许多好玩的地方还有免费的地方可以住宿。

July Birthday Party 七月的生日聚会

Repairs 修理
We are short a maintenance person right now which means all the repairs fall on me. The awesome thing about this is that our children are getting older and helping more. The older boys helped me take the water heaters down and clean them out. It was hot and sweaty work, but we all had a sense of accomplishment afterwards!
我们家里现在缺少一名维修人员，所以，所有要修理的工作全部落在我身上。但是好的一面是孩子们越来越大可以帮忙做很多事情。这是一个非常热出汗很多的工作，但是完成以后我们还是非常有成就感的。

The pool had an obstacle race that Aaron won 3rd place! He won a floor fan!!!

Family visit 探望日

Many of the children that we help have grandparents who want to spend time with them but just can’t afford to or are not physically capable to properly care for them. The children are able to go back to their home village for a short visit to see what family they have (as long as their home is safe). For the kids who don’t have a safe home to visit, we try to give them a special time too. This time we had extra funny money saved up and took them to Zhengzhou.
很多我们帮助的孩子是有爷爷或奶奶的，他们没有能力来照顾这些孩子日常，但还是想来看望他们花时间和他们一起。所以我们允许孩子们（在有安全保障的情况下）放假期间可以回老家一段时间，而那些没有家可以回的孩子们，我们会在这个时间里给他们一些特殊的待遇，比如用平时节省下来的零花钱带他们去了一趟郑州玩。

Michelle and I want to thank you for your continued support, whether prayer or financial, both are much needed. We were given permission by the mayor to continue living at our current location until next summer. China is making some changes to NGO’s (Non-Government-Organization) here to better protect the people and their country. Some of these changes has caused us some business license and visa issues but we are figuring it out and are very grateful for the extra time allotted to us by the mayor at our current location.

笑笑和我感谢大家的支持，请继续支持我们无论是祈祷还是资金的方面的，都是我们所需要的。我被允许继续住在这里直到明年的暑假。中国现在正在做一些关于非政府组织的管理方面的改变，为的是更有利于中国的管理。这些政策的转变意味着我们的一些相关的执照文件需要改变，不过我们现在已明白我们下一步工作也在尽力去执行，同时感谢我们当地政府的耐心，也感恩当前的住所。
