Sarah, Graham and Emma were able to test into the best high school in Pingyu. Six of our eight high school aged children made it in!!! Gabe, Wendy and Eddy are in their 2nd year. Abby goes to the 2nd ranked high school in Pingyu and Debbie is in Zhumadian studying to be a kindergarten teacher.

Michelle and I were very excited for Graham, Emma and Sarah to get into this school. We were excited for them, but also for the very fact that it helps us to have as many children going to the same school. Of our 36 children, they go to 8 different schools with 10 different schedules for us to try to follow.

We are very blessed to have such great staff to help tutor our children. All the plaques on the wall are awards our children have received from excelling in studying well.

End of the Summer Holiday

IMG_2437Before school started, we hung out on the grass and played on the playground. It was a good time to just relax and enjoy each others company.

Busy Beginning of Fall

IMG_3260Again some big praise to our AWESOME STAFF, they helped give the kids a good Mid-Autumn Festival holiday while we were in the States. They passed out mooncakes, peanuts, sunflower seeds and a variety of round fruit to the kids. They stayed up and watched a couple movies too! Catina (pictured above) helped put the treats into separate bags for everyone.

IMG_3123We had to go back to the States to get a few more documents authenticated that the government needed here for us to get established as a charity in China. We have been working on this all year. It has been difficult, but we are glad that China is taking steps to better protect their people and are even more happy that we are almost finished getting approved. While we were there waiting for the documentation to get authorized and authenticated, we spent some time with family. This is Michelle’s older brother Chris who is one of our biggest promoters:) He and I are best buddies and always get matching shirts!
WechatIMG363While back in the States, we always try to go to different schools to share about life in China. We hope to broaden the students mind to think global and promote peace.

Michelle and I want to thank you for your continued support in reaching the left behind children. Our biggest need right now is education costs. Last year we spent over $21,000 on tuition, room and board, school books and school supplies. This year with the added children entering into High School and Middle School we are looking at spending more than $25,000. If you are interested in helping with “Education Costs” click HERE and make a note that your contribution is to go towards Education.
Thank you again for all that you do to help us spread love, hope, peace and joy to such wonderful children!
Blessings,
Ben and Michelle
